Here at the Hudson Dog Company I focus on building relationships through clear consistent communication. I can be trusted and relied upon to care for your beloved companion.
My journey as a dog trainer began as a volunteer at the Yonkers Animal Shelter.  The variety of challenges were endless. I was exposed to dogs from innumberable backgrounds and circumstances. What I discovered was that a majority of these dogs had never been trained. Teaching them a few simple behaviors helped tremendously. The dogs became more confident and began to demonstrate self control. Skills that helped them become successful members of society.  Volunteering at the shelter has been the most rewarding thing I have ever been involved in and I am eternally grateful for the experience.
My training methods are science based in the "Laws of Learning". Positive reinforcement strategies are used to teach new behaviors. Management is used to control unwanted behaviors. Research is clear that punishment is the least effective behavior change tool. Encourage the things you want and ignore the things you don't.
Diet, exercise and clear consistent communication all contribute to the well being of your pet.

A thought for the day;
